June E. Smith, 103, of Bethlehem, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2024. She was the wife of the late James H. Smith to whom she was married for 41 years.

Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late Clarence O. and Dianna H. (Anna Ott) Lichtenwalner.

June was a graduate of Easton High School in 1939. She received her nursing certificate from St. Luke's Hospital and worked there as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 22 years until her retirement in 1986. Prior to her marriage June worked in the Order Division of the Bethlehem Steel Company.

She was a life long member of Hope Lutheran Church, Tatamy, being its oldest living member at her time of death.

Surviving are a son Gregory of Bethlehem; a daughter Anne Tanzola of Charleston, South Carolina; a sister Dawn Dunn of Bethlehem; two grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by sisters Larue Dunn, Janet Mellwig, and Gwen Lichtenwalner; and brothers Clarence, Jay, Hale and DeVere.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family, burial will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem.
