Justine F. Mitala, 77, of Easton, passed away Thursday, September 9, 2021.  She was the wife of Stephen T. Mitala for 50 years.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Franklin and Dorothy (Ferry) Sharer.

A 1961 graduate of Liberty High School, Justine was employed in the banking industry beginning with Union Bank and retiring as an auditor for Northampton National.

She was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Church, Beta Sigma Phi, and Tannenbaum Ski Club.  An avid volunteer, she served at Gracedale, Musikfest, Celtic Classic, Burnside Plantation, Children's Festival, Sauconfest, Bethlehem 250th Anniversary Store, Arts Quest, Steel Stacks and sold daffodils.

Surviving with her husband, Stephen,  are her sister Jacqueline Bond, her best friend from high school, Sandy Koch, and nephews.

A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 15, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Bethlehem Memorial Park.  Viewing from 10:00 until service time.  Please wear a mask.
