Kathryn E. Reed, of Bethlehem, passed away April 13, 2002, three days before her 100th birthday.  She was the wife of the late James M. Hobar, Sr. who died in 1951 and the late William F. Reed who died in 2002.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Frederick H. and Theresa A. (Rick) Lyon.

Kathryn was a clerk at the former Orr's Department Store  for many years.

She was a member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity, Bethlehem, and for many years belonged to a card club.

Surviving are her son, James M. Hobar, Jr., and wife Carol of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Blaine Hobar, and fiancé Meredith Ruhf, and James Hobar, III and wife Tami; a great-granddaughter, Megan Elizabeth Hobar; a niece and nephews.  She was predeceased by her twin sister Marie Ziegenfuss and sisters Lillian Felker and Doris Hosler.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
