Kenneth F. Bender, Jr., 72, of Bethlehem, passed away January 25, 2021, in his home.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was the son of the late Kenneth Sr. and Virginia (Rutman) Bender.

Ken earned a bachelor's degree in history from Lehigh University amd a master's degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he specialized in British history.  A talent for wine tasting led to a wine consulting career in the Chicago area.

Kenneth was a member of Bethany United Church of Christ, Bethlehem. He was a lover of classical music, a lifelong Phillies fan, and a formidable opponent in Trivial Pursuit.

Surviving are a sister Patricia Hale of Bethlehem; and nephews Aaron and Kevin Hale.

A graveside service was held at the Belfast Union Cemetery.
