Kenneth W. Young, 96, of Bethlehem, passed away October 19, 2024. His wife, Pearl (Stoudt) Young, died July 5, 2000.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Warren B. and Lillian (Schmalz) Young.

A licensed master plumber, Kenneth was the owner of Young Plumbing and Heating, Inc. for more than 50 years.

A lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, he served on the church council for multiple terms and was chairman of the property committee for many years. Kenneth coached Greater Bethlehem Church Basketball League, Northeast Central Little League, and American Legion Baseball – Wanderers. He was the Liberty High School catcher on the 1946 District 11 team. He enjoyed watching Phillies and Yankees games.

An avid fly fisherman, Ken was a member of Trout Unlimited. He looked forward to family fishing trips each year, and earned the nickname "Mr. Trico".

Surviving are his daughter, Pauline (Paul) Kalynych of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Rebecca, Melissa, Deborah, Joshua and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Amanda, Kensley, Caitlyn, Rachel, Wyatt, Noah, Dylan and Andrew; and two great-great-grandchildren, Lydia and Parker John. He was predeceased by his son Keith; daughter Mary Ann Kemmerer; brother Norman; and grandson John Kalynych.

Services and interment will be private. Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem, has been entrusted with Kenneth's arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. www.pearsonfh.com
