Larry S. Schaller, 84, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully Saturday, September 23, 2023, in his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Patricia (Trinkle) Schaller for 65 years.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Frederick S. and Dorothea A. (Smith) Schaller.

Larry graduated from Liberty High School and Bethlehem Tech in 1957. He briefly attended Moravian College and later received his teaching certificate from Penn State University.

Larry was a self-employed painting/wallpaper contractor whose family owned and operated Schallers on Main for many years. He also taught at Bethlehem Area Vocational Technical School from 1975 to 1985. After retiring from teaching, he went back to being a self employed painting contractor before finally retiring in 2011.

Larry loved decorating his home, repainting and wallpapering quite often and also did his own home improvement projects. He enjoyed fishing, especially the annual deep-sea fishing trips with his family and friends. He enjoyed family get-togethers, going out to dinner with friends and family, and a good Manhattan, watching Penn State Football and the Eagles. Years ago the family had a cabin on Peck's Pond and spent time savoring the outdoors in the mountains. Larry and his wife enjoyed their yearly vacations in Clearwater, Florida for more than 30 years.

Surviving with his beloved wife Patricia are three daughters, Sandy Feauve (Randy), Debra Schreffler (Scott) and Carol Repasch (Josh), all of Bethlehem; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother R. Fred Schaller and his sister Shirley Burke.

Services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, October 3, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 10 – 11 AM at the funeral home. www.pearsonfh.com
