Lee C. Wei, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away February 12, 2022, in St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus.  She was the wife of the late Dr. Robert P. Wei, with whom she was married for over 60 years.

Born in Shanghai, China, she was the daughter of the late Shien-Woo and Wei-Ven (Yao) Kung. She and her family had to flee the Japanese invasion during World War II, finally leaving China in 1946 and settling down in New York City.

She earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Manhattanville College , a Master's degree in Chemistry at the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn and an additional Master's in Psychology from Lehigh University . She worked as an elementary school guidance counselor for the Colonial Northampton County Intermediate Unit Number 20 for twenty years.

Mrs. Wei was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem. She was a lifelong learner who loved to play piano, read, ski and play tennis, spend time with her family, serve others, and grow in her faith.

She is survived by two sons, William (and wife Ida), and Timothy (and wife Sally); brother Edward Kung (and wife Marcia); sister Nancy Wong (and husband Yung); and grandchildren Nathaniel and Carissa Wei.

A Memorial Service will be held on April 23, 2022 at 4 PM in the Kirkland Village Auditorium, 1 Kirkland Village Circle, Bethlehem, PA.
