Lorraine Florey Lease, 94, of Moravian Village, Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in St.Luke's Hospice, Bethlehem on Friday, January 9, 2026.

She was the wife of the late George M. Lease, who passed away February, 22, 2003.

Lorraine was born on December 11, 1931 in Upper Darby, PA to Robert Florey and Cora (Woodring) Florey. After graduation from Liberty High School she received her teaching degree from Kutztown University and a Master's degree in Education from Lehigh University. She taught elementary education for over 30 years with 20 years in the Bethlehem Area School District.

Upon retirement, Lorraine and her husband enjoyed traveling, tennis, golf and skiing. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed crossword puzzles, singing with the Moravian Village chorus, visiting with friends and neighbors and going out to lunch. Lorraine served as a volunteer for various organizations including Meals on Wheels, the Allentown Art Museum, Cops n' Kids, and New Bethany soup kitchen. She was a long time member of Central Moravian Church, Bethlehem, PA.

Lorraine is survived by her sisters Althea Lazun, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and Joyce Hess (Howard),Hempstead, North Carolina, stepdaughters, Joan Johnson, Gainesville, Georgia and Susan Baier, Snowflake, Arizona, 6 step grandchildren, 7 step great grand children, 6 step great-great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Roberta Florey.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at Central Moravian Chapel on March 20, 2026 at 11:00am. A private family only inurnment will be held at a later date at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
