Lucille J. “”Lucy” Bennick, 85, of Bethlehem, passed away August 12, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Muhlenberg Campus. Her husband John M. Bennick, Sr. died in 1979.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of James F. and Etrulia (Rowe) Snyder.

Lucy was employed as a bartender for most of her life, most recently at Dewey Fire Company, Hellertown.

She was a member of the 540 Democratic Club, Independent Citizen’s Club, Heights Athletic Association, Hellertown American Legion, and the Roosevelt Democratic Club.

Surviving are a son Richard Bennick; a daughter Dee Klager-Merenyi; step-sons John Jr. and James; sister Dorothy Burke; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Michael in 1984, step-daughters Anita and April, brothers Richard, John and James Heidecker; and sisters Shirley Beck and Pat Leayman.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Allentown.
