Margaret R. Farkas, 86, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025.  Her husband of 46 years, Stephen Farkas, died May 18, 2005.

Born in Hungary, Margaret was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Kolosits.

She owned and operated Paragon Knits for many years before closing it.  She then worked as a caregiver for Home Instead.

Surviving are a daughter, Susan Brodt of Bethlehem; a son, Stephen Jr. and wife Heather of Northampton; a brother Lazlo Kolosits in Hungary; a sister Marika also in Hungary; and four grandchildren, Amanda Brodt, Olivia Farkas, Dominic Farkas and Alexandra Farkas.

Margaret spent many hours cooking and baking for her family and guests.  In earlier years she played the accordion and enjoyed entertaining folks with her Hungarian Band.  She loved her entire family, but always had a special place in her heart for the grandchildren.

Services will be at the convenience of the family.  The Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA, is honored to have been entrusted with the arrangements.
