Margaret S. Kovacs, 90, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, December 14, 2020, in Traditions of Hanover.  Her husband of fifty years, Albert Kovacs, died in 2002.

Born in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late Leopold and Ilona (Czipoth) Sancza.

Margaret was employed as a cafeteria worker by the Bethlehem Area School District before retiring.

She enjoyed sewing her own clothes, cooking and baking and will be remembered for her delicious apple pie and "broccoli business".

Surviving are daughters, Jessica (Jim) Bobal of Fountain Hill and Laurie (Richard) Peters of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Aleen Bobal (Jennifer Carlo), Andrew (Sarah) Bobal and Benjamin Peters; great-grandchildren, Harper and Dakota Carlo and Maxwell Bobal.  She was predeceased by sisters, Yolan Krall and Helen Weiner.

Margaret's family would like to thank the staff and residents of Traditions of Hanover, Arcadia Hospice and Consider It Done for their compassion and support over the past five years.

Due to the pandemic, services will be private at the convenience of the family with a memorial service to be announced at a later date.  Services have been entrusted to the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Arcadia Hospice, 4658 Broadway, Allentown, PA 18104.
