Margaret Kucirka, RN, of Allentown, PA passed away on the 20th of May. She was the wife of the late John F. Kucirka. Born in 1929, she was the daughter of Georges and Margaret (Mihocko) Lischer. Margaret graduated from Allen High School and the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing where she made many life-long dear friends. After raising her children, she returned to psychiatric nursing where her compassion and kindness were valued by patients and coworkers alike.

Although Margaret was raised in the city, she embraced rural life in the village of Weaversville where she raised 5 children on "the farm". She loved long walks with her Old English Sheepdogs: Popcorn, Tiki, and Penny. She cared for her neighbors using her nursing skills and was eager to lend a helping hand to those in need.

Margaret made friends everywhere she went. She valued family above all, making daily calls to her beloved sisters, Marie and Martha. She was a loving mother and her grandchildren's biggest supporter. She brought her curiosity and lifelong love of learning and appreciation of the arts, especially classical music to her family.  She loved travel and was grateful to have had the chance to visit family in France.  Never one to refuse a last minute outing or trip she will be missed on this her final journey to her Savior.

Margaret lived at Cornwall Manor in Lebanon county where she enjoyed the beautiful campus, new friends, family celebrations, and devoted care from staff.

Surviving are her children, Elise (Dr. John) Salahub of Lebanon, Dr. Susan Kucirka (Dr. Brian Alnutt) of New Tripoli, Corrine Kucirka (James) Adamowicz of Falmouth, Maine, Dr. Amy Kucirka of Lebanon and Mark (Dr. Brenda) Kucirka; her sister Martha Erney of Whitehall; eleven grandchildren, Rachael, Daniel, Jesse, Emily, Dylan, Courtney, Hannah, Matthew, Halley, Chloe and Kyra; and two great-grandchildren, Lev and Graham.

Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, May 24, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.  Family and friends are invited to call from noon until 1 PM Wednesday.
