Marie J. Plaisimond, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021, in her home after a brief illness.  She was the wife of the late Angelo Plaisimond.

Born in Petion-ville, Haiti, she was a daughter of the late Charles Monteles and Charite Dejean.

Marie was employed by Jerome Industry for more than 25 years before retiring.

She was a faithful member of the Spirit Temple Bible Church, Bethlehem.  Marie was always a nurturer who enjoyed living life to the fullest.  Her interests were many and varied, but she loved planting flowers, baking for family and friends, storytelling and dancing.

Surviving are her daughter, Marie Watkins with whom she resided; her son, Hudson Plaisimond in New Jersey;  sisters, Rose Marie Dejean and Marie Cecile Dejean, both in New Jersey; brothers, Lionel, Andre, Fred and Daniel Dejean; grandchildren, Rakecia, Tyandra, Marquis, James, Anthony and Elijah Watkins; and many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by brothers Philippe and Camille Dejean, and sisters, Marie Lucienne Brierre, Marie Immaculate Dejean, Marie Denise Derima and Marie Gisele Gaspard.

Services will be held Friday, April 9, at 11:00 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, with Apostle Ese Duke officiating.  Family and friends may call on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Marie's name may be made to the Spirit Temple Bible Church, 1016 Evans Street, Bethlehem, PA 18015.
