Marilyn J. Bauer was born December 7, 1938 in Bear Lake, Pennsylvania.  She was the daughter of Marvin Johnson and Ruth (Pardee) Johnson of Bear Lake, PA.  She was a 1955 graduate of Panama Central High School.  As a 1960 graduate of Grove City College, she was very much an advocate for education, and obtained her Master's Degree from the University of Pittsburgh In Business Education.  She taught business courses at Churchman Business School and Northampton Community College.

In addition to improving lives through education, Marilyn was a devoted wife and mother and found great joy in helping others.   She volunteered at the Bethlehem Salvation Army.  She was always a devoted church member and served several years as a Stephen Minster, counseling those in need.

Marilyn loved travel.  She also enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her husband of sixty-one years, Ronald, Marilyn is survived by her sister Norene Yeropoli, daughter Virginia Desimone and her husband Christopher, son Mark and his wife Lisa, her grandchildren Christopher, Breanna, and Joshua, and three great grandchildren.

Interment will be at Bear Lake, PA Cemetery.  A memorial service and reception will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2:00 pm, at Grace Church, 521 East Locust Street, Bethlehem, PA.  In lieu of flowers, a donation to this church would be greatly appreciated.
