Maureen T. Harrington, 67, of North Catasauqua, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 15, 2024, in her home, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was the beloved wife of John P. Harrington, Sr.

Born in Camden, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Frances (Donnelly) Henry.

Maureen will be remembered as a singer, percussionist, dancer, amazing and loyal sister, aunt, and friend, but most importantly as the creative and loving partner of her husband John. In his own words, "Music was the love of Maureen's life along with me, and we were both fortunate enough to be able to feel it in our songs. I will always be thankful for my time with her."

She brought light and joy to all she did with her amazing sense of humor and brilliant smile, whether driving 'her kids' to and from school, playing with her dogs, Boo-Boo, Shas and Bijou, or singing.

Maureen was an incredibly talented singer, and her vocal skills allowed her to perform with many popular bands throughout her career, such as Illusia, In the Flesh, Center City, Auburn, Nicky Cole and High Society, The Eddie Bruce Band, Prophecy, The Rage Band, (along with her brother Frank), Mo's Better Blues, and Amojo. With many of these bands, Maureen was able to perform at various major venues in the Delaware Valley, Lehigh Valley, New Orleans, and Jersey shore including the Atlantic City casinos. Maureen's vocal skills were outstanding, and her vocal range and style allowed her to sing an expansive variety of music genres, from disco and rhythm and blues to big band, funk, and everything else in between. Maureen's career was like her personality, nonstop and jam packed! She was driven in her work, and in her personal life; that strength and drive were again shown as she battled with cancer. Maureen's personality was loving, and filled with fun and music. This was shown through loving others with all her heart, sharing her addictive sense of humor, and most of all lifting everyone up with her beautiful voice!

She previously was employed as a Sales Manager with the Gap clothing store, salesperson at Macy's department store, and most recently as a school bus driver for the Catasauqua School District.

Surviving with her husband John are her siblings Francis Henry, IV (Theresa), of Barrington, NJ, Patricia Martin of Runnemede, NJ, Robert Henry (Kathy) of Bethlehem, PA, and Joseph Henry of Sewell, NJ. She was predeceased by her sister Virginia Saville (Kenny), and brother-in-law, Dave Martin (husband of Patricia). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
