Merrill C. Simons, 93 passed away May 8, 2023 in Rittenhouse Village. His wife of 57 years, Marlene L. (Fry) Simons, predeceased him in 2021.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Marvin R. and Prudence (Apple) Simons.

A 1950 graduate of Liberty High School, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was employed as the dairy manager at Food Fair for more than 29 years and retired from Laneco in 1992. He played the baritone in the high school band as well as the Bethlehem Municipal Band and American Legion Band. He was a member of Christ Hamilton United Lutheran Church, Hamilton Township.

Surviving are two sons, Charles (Suzanne) of Port Matilda and Robert (Lori) of Center Valley; grandsons Daniel and Connor; and a step-granddaughter Alise Downey.

Services will be at 11 AM Saturday, May 13, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial with military honors in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends may call Saturday from 10 – 11 AM.
