Mildred P. Barron, 88, of Bethlehem, died Saturday, November 4, 2017, in Holy Family Manor.  She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Barron, who died in 1983.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Stephen J. Strecky and the late Cecilia H. (Hornyak) Strecky Kemmerer.

A 1947 graduate of Allentown High School, Mildred was employed as a technician at Alcatel-Lucent for many years before retiring, and later worked for Lehigh University and the Marriott Corp.

A member of Incarnation of Our Lord Church, Bethlehem, she also served on the Board of Directors of Sokol USA.

Mildred's family is extremely grateful for the compassionate, loving care given to her at Holy Family Manor, Gracedale and Moravian Village by caregivers and staff.

Survivors: Sons, Stephen J. (Jean) of Bethlehem, Robert "Sparky" (Irene) of Salisbury Township, Paul (Sandy) of Bethlehem and Albert "Corky" (Paula) of Bethlehem; a daughter, Joanne (Richard, Jr.) Check of Hellertown; a brother, Stephen Strecky of Front Royal, VA; daughter-in-law, Teri; 15 grandchildren, Michael, Jill, Maren, Jennifer, Steve, Matt, Bill, TJ, Rich, Joe, Ashley, Alyssa, Sarah, Cecilia and Ian; 10 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son, Joseph S., in 2015.

Services: Viewing will be noon until 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 8, in the Chapel of Holy Family Manor,  1200 Spring Street, Bethlehem.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel followed by  burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery.  Arrangements, Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem, PA.
