On January 27, 2024, Norma (Hefferan) McNamara, 92, of Bethlehem, PA, quietly left this world in Scottsdale, AZ, surrounded by family. She is predeceased by her parents, John Thomas Hefferan and Ann (Cassidy) Hefferan Dever, and Charles Dever, who accepted her as his own; husband John Francis McNamara; Kenneth Bauer, the love of her life; sisters: Meta (Dever) Hendessi, Carolyn (Dever) Manning; brothers: John T. Hefferan, Walter Dever; and two grandchildre: Quinn McNamara and Jocelyn Lash.

Norma was born on Staten Island, NY, April 30, 1931. She graduated on full scholarship from St. Patrick's Academy, taking her first job at The Manhattan Bank in Manhattan, NY. Several years later she was co-owner of Monarch Security and Detective Agency. Norma was later employed by Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown, as a Memorial Counselor.

As the wife of a military man, she and her family traveled and lived in many different places around the world. Her love for traveling was a lifelong passion. For 37 years, she and Kenny traveled widely. Following Kenny's death, she continued to travel with her children.

Mamaw, as she was known, was deeply loved by her family and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her four children: Eileen (Gary) Lash, Charlene Truszkowski, Daniel McNamara, Patrice (David) Williams; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and several cousins.

Viewing will be held at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, February 6, in Saints Simon and Jude Catholic Church, 730 W. Broad Street, Bethlehem, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM. Arrangements have been entrusted to Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem. www.pearsonfh.com.
