Norman J. Cimerol, 83, of Bethlehem, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2019, in his home.  He was the husband of Sandra (Wagner) Cimerol for 60 years.

Born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island, he was a son of the late Alfred A. and Norma (Bonollo)Cimerol.

Norman served in the United States Marine Corps from 1956-1964.  He was employed as a Tool Room Analyst for many years before retiring from Lucent Technologies.

He was a member of the competitive Reading Buccaneers Drum & Bugle Corps from 1959 - 1974.  Following his time there, a member of the Reading Buccaneers Alumni Drum & Bugle Corps where he was inducted into the Reading Buccaneers and Pennsylvania State Drum & Bugle Corps Hall of Fame.  Norman remains a current member of the Reading Buccaneers Alumni Association.

Norman served as an original committee member responsible for bringing DCA Allentown and DCI East to J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown, where the activity remains today.  He served as assistant band front director at William Allen High School and for East Hills Jr. High School Indoor Colorguard.  Norman was also actively involved in instructing indoor winterguard units in the Lehigh Valley.

An avid Harley Davidson enthusiast, Norman served as a past director of the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the Harley Owner's Group, HOG.

Surviving with his wife Sandra are sons, Jay Cimerol, and his wife Renee of Catasauqua and Norman Cimerol, and his fiancé Heather of Saylorsburg; a daughter, Julie Starner, and her husband Bradley of Nazareth; a sister, Nanette Lamparella, and her husband Donald of Allentown; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A calling hour will be held from 10 - 11 a.m. Saturday, November 30, with a Prayer Service beginning at 11 a.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, Bethlehem, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017.  Entombment will be in Bethlehem Memorial Park Mausoleum.
