Mr. Paul V. Belfort, 85, of Bethlehem,

on Saturday, July 4, 2026, in Lehigh Valley Hospital

Paul V. Belfort, born in 1941, passed away at the age of 85, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, compassion, and service to others. He was the beloved brother of Gerard F. Belfort and Marie S. Belfort.

Paul was a kind and compassionate man whose quiet strength and generous heart touched the lives of those who knew him. Throughout his eighty-five years, he faced life's joys and challenges with dignity, integrity, and steadfast conviction, leaving a lasting impression on countless family members, friends, and all whose paths crossed his own.

After his family, one of Paul's greatest passions was hockey, especially his beloved Montreal Canadians. He followed the team with unwavering enthusiasm and treasured every opportunity to watch them play. He also enjoyed thoughtful conversations about current events and politics, but his favorite topic was always his faith. His love of learning, thoughtful nature, and willingness to share his knowledge made every conversation meaningful.

Paul's faith in God was the foundation of his life. His love for the Bible began at the age of seven when he received his first Bible as a birthday gift. That single gift sparked a lifelong devotion to studying God's Word. Over the years, he read the Bible from cover to cover an estimated seventeen times and became a devoted student of Scripture. He spoke openly and sincerely about his faith, eager to share the hope he found in God's Word while respecting the beliefs and perspectives of others. His unwavering commitment led him to serve in numerous Christian ministries throughout the Caribbean and the Americas, where he faithfully shared the Gospel and ministered to people from many walks of life.

Paul's love of travel allowed him to experience different cultures and connect with people around the world. Fluent in French, English, and Spanish, he used his gift for languages during his 21 years as a missionary, serving people in many countries with humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication to his calling.

The last few months of Paul's life were marked by a courageous battle with cancer. Although the illness gradually diminished his physical strength, it never weakened his faith, his character, or the love he held for his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched.

Paul is lovingly remembered by his children, his cherished grandchildren, extended family, dear friends, and the many people whose lives were touched by his kindness, wisdom, and faith. His life was a testament to the values he cherished and faithfully lived each day. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy of compassion, service, and devotion to God will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A viewing will be held on Saturday, July 11, from 10:00 - noon with the funeral service at noon in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA. Interment in Holy Saviour Cemetery will conclude his services.
