Pauline E. George, 94, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in her home.

Born in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late John J. and Marcella (Reott) Marcus.

Pauline was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.  A Sunday school teacher, she most enjoyed the young children, and taught several of her grandchildren.  She was active in the Ladies Aid and all their projects.  A collector of angels, Pauline loved angels in various media from jewelry, statues, paintings, blankets, and even angel sweaters.  In her younger days she enjoyed baking for church and family gatherings.

Surviving are daughters, Janet E. Zambanini of N. Huntington, Leah M. (Harry) Socrates with whom she resided, Gloria J. (Eugene) Benedict of Elizabeth, and Paula G. Barchanowicz of Liberty Boro; sisters, Darlene Adkins and Carol Cushman; grandchildren, Terry and Christopher, Jason, Marcy and Adam, Derek and Corissa, Matthew and Jamie, Elise; great-grandchildren, TJ, Jase and Jaxson, Filomena, Elijah and Emilia, Nora, Hannah and Aubrey, and a great-grandson due in December; and 1 great-great-grandson.

She was predeceased by a son, Edwin J., brothers Floyd, Thomas, Donald and John, and sisters Winifred Black, Roberta Marcus, Grace Banfield, Annamae Beijer and Mary Capp.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 1, at 5:00 p.m. in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem.  Burial will be in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth, Allegheny County, at a later date.
