Paz C. Arechiga, 93, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem, on Thursday, July 10, 2025. She was the wife of the late Baldomero J. Arechiga, Jr.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Francisco and Matiana (Gonzalez) Banuelos.

Paz was employed by Northampton County Children and Youth for many years before retiring.

A member of Holy Infancy Church, she was an avid reader, great cook, and hostess. Her home was the place that many friends and relatives gravitated to for a delicious meal and a feeling of camaraderie and belonging. In reflecting upon her long life, Paz stated that she had no regrets, had a great life, and was happy. Her family was the center of her world and greatest joy.  Her motto was "family, food, joy, and tons of love."

Surviving are her children, Michele Solis of Savannah, Georgia, Michael Arechiga and wife Lisa of Bethlehem, David Arechiga and wife Kirsten of Coopersburg, and Marcia Vega and husband Angel of Yulee, Florida; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A Prayer Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 16, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Family and friends are invited to her calling hours on Tuesday, July 15, from 7:00 – 8:30 PM. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society or the Salvation Army.
