Raymond S. Fortley, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025, in St. Luke's University Hospital-Anderson Campus. He was the husband of Sandra B. (Bradley) Fortley for over 62 years. He was a member of the former St. John's Windish Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Stephen and Helen (Kutos) Fortley. An Army veteran, Raymond was employed in the security department of Bethlehem Steel as well as the head custodian at Liberty Bell Elementary in the Southern Lehigh School District. Raymond was an avid hunter and bowler in his younger days, he more recently passed the time hunting for mushrooms at Jacobsburg Park, pulling for the Weyhill Skeet Shoot, as well as watching the horse races with his buddies. He was also a fan of the local sports teams, especially the Phillies, Eagles, and Steelers, and enjoyed playing the lottery.

In addition to his wife, Raymond is survived by his son Brett of Reading, and daughter Shawn of Bethlehem.

Services will be private at the convenience of his family.
