Reading H. "Red" Crouthamel, 71, of East Allen Township, passed away peacefully in his sleep on  Saturday, March 11, 2017, in his home.  He was the husband of Margaret (Strawn) Crouthamel.  They celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary on July 16, 2016.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Reading H. Sr. and Marguerite (Lerchenmiller) Crouthamel.

Following high school graduation, Red proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.  After the war he was later employed as an electronics technician.

Survivors: Wife, Marge; daughter, Bonnie Minor, and her husband Christopher of Martinsville, VA; sons, James of Bethlehem and Christopher of Northampton; step-son, John Anders of Bethlehem; sisters, Louise Reppert of Easton and Ethel Steman of Jacksonville, Florida; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services: Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. Monday, March 13, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem. Family and friends are welcome to attend a calling hour from 2 - 3 p.m. Monday.
