Richard R. DiMeglio, 81, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Muhlenberg. He and his wife, Gayle (Klinger) DiMeglio, celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary on November 19, 2019.

Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late A. Richard and Gertrude (Ziegenfuss) DiMeglio.

Richard proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps following his graduation from Liberty High School in 1956.  After retiring from Bethlehem Steel Homer Research Center, Richard enjoyed traveling and many hobbies including stained glass, crossword puzzles, bike riding and golf.  He was also a talented cook.

Surviving with his wife, Gayle, are children, Denise Fulginitti (Tony), Gina Galiardo, Rich DiMeglio (Kimberley), and Lynnanne West (Jeffrey Shortell); grandchildren, Lauren and Anthony Fulginitti, TJ and Angela Galiardo, Dillon and Ethan West; a great-granddaughter, Lenore; and a sister, Catharine Ache.  He was predeceased by his parents and a brother John.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
