Richard D. Sloyer, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away December 22, 2020, in Manor Care, Bethlehem.  His wife of 54 years, Mary (King) Sloyer, died in 2007.

Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Wesley and Elsie (Bachman) Sloyer.

Richard served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War.  He was employed as a draftsman at the former Bethlehem Steel Co. for many years before retiring.

An avid hunter and fisherman, Richard was a past secretary of the Palmerton Hunting and Fishing Club.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by brothers Warren and Carl Sloyer.

Due to the pandemic, services will be private at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Lung Association.
