Robert L. Shifter, 79, of Allentown, died Friday, March 9, in his home.  He was the husband of the late Dolores Ann (Kozemchak) Shifter, who died in 1997.

Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Louis and Lydia (Illes) Shifter.

Robert was employed in the Machine Shop of Ingersoll Rand before retiring.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.

Surviving are a daughter Lynn and son Roderick, with whom he resided, and son Robert and wife Maria of Bethlehem Township; brother, Thomas of Bethlehem; and sister, Linda of Bethlehem Township.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by interment in Woodlawn Memorial Park, Allentown.  Call Wednesday 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
