Roberta E. Kempfer-Kline, 61, of Bethlehem, died Tuesday, February 11, 2020, in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown.   Her husband of 31 years, George W. Kline, died in 2018.

Born in Bethlehem, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Virginia (Huseman) Kempfer.

Roberta graduated from the Allentown Hospital School of Nursing, attended Penn State and received a Bachelor of Nursing from University of Pennsylvania.  She later earned a Master's of Nursing from Temple University and completed her course work in the Nursing PhD program at Marywood University.  Over the years she was employed as a home health care nurse for high risk pregnancies, taught nursing at BAVTS and was a CPR instructor at NCC, among other positions in the nursing field.

She was a member of St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem.  Roberta enjoyed gardening, birds, flowers, and all types of needlework including sewing, needlepoint, cross-stitch, knitting and crocheting.  She had a special fondness for the Bethlehem Mounted Police Unit.

Surviving are daughters, Sarah Kline (David Hosler) of Bethlehem, Heather Heimbach (Jon) of Shartlesville and Meghan Ziegenfuss of Emmaus; a sister, Ruth Ann Swear; nine grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 15, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, PA 18017.  Burial will be private.
