Rose M. Furchner, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 in St. Luke's Hospice House. Her husband of 45 years, Bruce A. Furchner, died in 2004.

Born in Fountain Hill, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Helmecy) Lechman.

Rose was employed at St. Luke's Hospital in the Nutritional Services department before retiring. She was an administrative assistant at the former Bethlehem Steel Co. before she raised her family.

She was a member of the former St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Bethlehem, until recently when she returned to the Catholic Church. Rose enjoyed gardening, cooking, and preparing meals for gatherings at Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Easter. Her greatest joy was spending time with family, and especially loved being a Grammy.

Surviving are sons, Brian and his wife Mecia of Fogelsville, Gregory and his wife Diane of Slatington; a daughter, Krista Nagy and her husband Bill of Bangor; sister Marie Zullo of Bethlehem Township; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter Alison and brothers Joe, Richard, and James Lechman.

Services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, December 1, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to a calling hour from 10:00 AM until the service begins.
