Sherry Ann Allender, 89, of Emmaus, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, July 16.

Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna (Klotz) Lehman.

Sherry graduated from Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing, then was employed as a registered nurse at St. Luke's Hospital briefly, and Valley Manor in Coopersburg for many years before retiring at the age of 77.

She was a life long member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir for many of those years. She also belonged to the Alumni Association of Lankenau Hospital School of Nursing.

She is survived by four daughters, Lisa Bielecki, and her husband Christopher of Wernersville, Judith Peek of Emmaus, Robin Buck, and husband Scott of Benton, Pennsylvania, and Gail Rolls and husband Gary of Emmaus; twelve grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial in Bethlehem Memorial Park. Family and friends may call from 10:00 – 11:00 AM prior to the service.
