Dr. Victor C. Lightfoot, Jr. was born on February 6, 1924, in the city of Dayton, Ohio, and was the only son of Victor and Lovie Lightfoot, Sr. He departed this life on April 11, 2023, ten months shy of his 100 ^th birthday.

His beloved parents gave him the nickname of "June Bug" and called him by it often. He attended Avondale Elementary School and Hughes High School, both located in Cincinnati, Ohio. After graduating from high school, he attended Howard University where he enrolled in a liberal arts course of study. His studies were interrupted by the Second World War, during which he served in the medical department of the United States Army in Europe.

After his service, he returned to Howard University, where he followed in his father's footsteps and pursued the profession of dentistry; he graduated Cum Laude. Upon graduation, he remained there as an instructor in the field of oral surgery.

He was a member of National Dental Association, American Dental Association, Ohio State Dental Association, Cleveland Dental Association, PLFD Dental Society, Holiday Club, Forest City Dental Study Club, Board of Directors of the Garden Valley Neighborhood House of Cleveland, Ohio, 20 ^th Century Investment Club, Usher Board of St. Paul's Church, Alpha Omega Fraternity and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, a national honorary society serving the field of dentistry.

He received the following awards: Joseph C. Brasure Award and the College of Dentistry Dean's Award.

He practiced general dentistry and oral surgery in Ohio and New Jersey until he retired in the state of Florida. Wanting to be near his beloved daughter's and granddaughter's side, he moved from Florida to live in Pennsylvania where he resided in Forks Township, PA for twenty years.

Dr. Victor is predeceased by his parents, his stepdaughter Jacqueline, and his wife Miss Ella. He is survived by his daughter Kimberly, his stepson Robert, his granddaughter Yasmine, cherished cousins, and many friends.
