Virginia L. Rice, 88, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, in Bethlehem Manor. Her husband of 39 years, Jackson M. Rice, Jr., died in 1997.

Born in West Yarmouth, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Dearing) Pearson.

A registered nurse, Virginia was employed at Harrisburg Osteopathic Hospital during the 1980s, then moved to the Lehigh Valley and Allentown State Hospital from 1987 until retiring more than twenty years later. She earned a Bachelor's of Nursing degree from University of Massachusetts and a Master's of Nursing from Temple University.

Virginia was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and volunteered at the AA Hotline in the Lehigh Valley over the years.

Surviving are three sons, Jackson M. Rice, III, David L. Rice and Stephen E. Rice, all of Bethlehem; and a sister Janet P. Wilcox of Orleans, Mass.
