Waltraud "Wally" Townsend, 91, of Moore Township, formerly of Freemansburg, passed away peacefully on January 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family, listening to her favorite song and the soothing voice of her granddaughter.  She was the wife of the late LeRoy Townsend who passed away in 1987.

Born in Stettein, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Fritz and Elsie (Burow) Metz.

She enjoyed bingo, reading, watching television, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, the pride and joy of her life.

Survivors include her daughter, Cynthia Clift and husband Douglas with whom she resided; granddaughter Carissa Clift of Ohio; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sons LeRoy, Dennis and Timothy and sisters Margaret and Inge.

Services will be private.
