William L. Cauller, 92, passed away January 11, 2024, in Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth, PA. He is the husband of Dolores J. (Carotenuto) Cauller.

Born and raised on farmland among the Amish of Lancaster County, PA, he was the son of the late H. Hilbert and Emma W. (Wenger) Cauller. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean War conflict.

Bill began his life's career in the building materials business, first with Sculley Lumber in Coatesville, PA, and then, after marriage, with Morris Black & Sons in Bethlehem, PA. Shortly thereafter, he pursued his goal of becoming an entrepreneur as co-owner and proprietor of Hecktown Building Supply, where until his retirement, he provided Lehigh Valley contractors and do-it-yourself customers with friendly advice and an array of quality building materials, all with free delivery six days per week.

Bill was very committed to the community through multiple volunteer activities and responsibilities, including serving as head of the Lower Nazareth Water Authority when residents of the township first transitioned from individual household well water to water provided through the City of Bethlehem's municipal network. Bill also served for many years on the YMCA Board of Directors in Nazareth, and on the Board of the Trumbower Hospital Foundation, through which he helped direct the annual distribution of monetary grants to organizations that support the region's public health and welfare.

Bill was a devoted member of the Cathedral Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, where, in addition to regularly volunteering as an usher during services, he was elected to multiple terms on the church's vestry, including terms as both Junior and Senior Warden. He also was past President of the Bethlehem Area Council of Churches.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Dolores; children, Timothy W. Cauller and wife Naoko (Chosa) Cauller of Buffalo, NY, and Stephen J. Cauller and wife Wendy (Heist) Cauller of Doylestown, PA; grandchildren, Julia M. Cauller and husband Jon Mikitsh, Renee E. Cauller, and Masatami W. Cauller. He was predeceased by his older brother Jack and younger brother Thomas.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 20, in The Cathedral Church of the Nativity.
