Allentown resident William Charles Hedrick passed away peacefully in ProMedica Nursing Home in Bethlehem on April 6, at the age of 81.

Born in Tinicum Township, Bucks County, PA, he was the son of the late Ervin and Gertrude (Otto) Hedrick.  He graduated from Hellertown High School and Berean Bible School, and attended Bob Jones University.  During the 1960s, he enjoyed working as a radio announcer and programmer for WBYO in Boyertown, PA.  Before his retirement he was employed by Agere Systems.  He served in various church capacities during his lifetime affiliation with the Christian faith.  Many who knew Bill referred to him as a kind, appreciative person.  He enjoyed planting flowers and discussing theology.

He is survived by his daughter, Sara Inge of Bethlehem; son, Steven Inge (Carrie) of Ardmore; two grandchildren; siblings, Lois Wieand of Bethlehem, Marjorie Leith of Northampton, Janet Hedrick of Allentown, Robert Hedrick of Summitt Hill, Lanette Weller (Dana) of Macungie, Joanne Piechota of Center Valley, Sharon Anderson of Garnet Valley, and Ruth Sharp of Bethlehem.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
