Wilson A. Taylor's Obituary
Wilson A. Taylor, 86, of Bethlehem Township passed away Sunday, December 25, 2016, in St. Luke's Hospital. His wife of 52 years, Shirley (Hays) Taylor died in 2006.
Born in Springfield, Mass., he was a son of the late Arnold R. Taylor and Emily (Albert) Taylor Bastian.
A U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War, Wilson was a banker at the former Union Bank for many years before retiring.
An avid train enthusiast, he was a member of the Black Diamond Train Club, the Autumn Club of Bethlehem Township and the Masonic Lodge in Phillipsburg, NJ. A devoted husband, father and grandfather, one of his greatest joys was attending his grandchildren's activities.
Survivors: Son, Robert H. Taylor and wife Mary of Bethlehem Township; daughter, Cynthia L. Rak of Bethlehem; brother, George Taylor in South Carolina; grandchildren, Danielle, Katie Jo, Greg and Emily; great-grandson, Carter; and his companion, Milly Saeger.
Services: 11 a.m., Friday, December 30, in the Pearson Funeral Home, 1901 Linden Street, Bethlehem, followed by burial with military honors in Northampton Memorial Shrine. Family and friends may call 6 - 8 p.m. Thursday.
Memorials: May be made to the Bethlehem Township Ambulance Corps, 1919 8th Street, Bethlehem, PA 18020, or the American Heart Association, 968 Postal Road, Suite 110, Allentown, PA 18109. Online condolences may be sent to www.pearsonfh.com
